2. Apostilled Certified Certificate of Coffin: Confirmation that the body was placed in a carefully soldered lead or zinc coffin, with an outer coffin of wood at least 20 mm thick.

3. Apostilled Certified Transportation Permit: Issued by the competent authorities of the country of departure.

4. Apostilled Certificate of No Epidemic: Confirmation from the authorities that there was no epidemic or contagious disease in the area where the deceased passed away.

5. Apostilled Affidavit of Embalming Process: Provided by the funeral home.

6. Apostilled Certified Statement of Itinerary: Provided by the funeral home.

7. Apostilled Copy of the Passport: The first page of the deceased’s passport.

8. Certified Crematorium Certificate (if applicable): If the remains have been cremated, this must be presented in lieu of the embalming certificate.

If the death was due to a contagious disease, additional precautions must be taken:

o The remains must be placed in a carefully welded steel or zinc coffin with an absorbent material at the base.

o The coffin must be wrapped in a shroud soaked in antiseptic solution and placed in a 20mm thick wooden coffin.

o The funeral home must provide a certificate to the Diplomatic Mission confirming that this procedure was followed.
